What does it mean for PFW colleagues?
This change won’t be easy. Through 2025 all our Parcelforce colleagues will need to learn new systems and ways of working. We anticipate the first 12 months of this change will be challenging but, for the long-term benefit of our customers and our people, we know that we can get this right.
No colleague will be handling this transition on their own. We will be working closely with our managers and trade unions to care for our people each step of the way. So far, all 500 of our Parcelforce managers have completed the Step Up to Change training – a programme designed to empower them in supporting colleagues through change. This is just the first step in a comprehensive training and communications plan we have in place to support you over 2025.
In the short term, one key difference you will see is in the functionality of the systems. At first this change may feel difficult, but we will work with you to continuously develop our IT into the best tool to support you in your work.
Working together is crucial to the success of this project. It’s only by sharing your expertise in your role that we can make an efficient single network that delivers excellent service for our customers.
Increased growth means increased investment back into our systems and our people. The short-term challenges of this change will allow Parcelforce to not only come out the other end as the market leader in parcels but to also be an employer at the forefront of postal technology, with increased development and progression opportunities for our people.
