Lest we forget

Remembrance Day

On the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month we remember those who have volunteered, served and fought for our freedom.

Many Royal Mail and Parcelforce sites across our nations are commemorating Remembrance Day with two-minutes silence, wreaths and readings for a memorial service.

A solemn ceremony was performed by Reverend Nick Mottershead earlier this morning at Mount Pleasant Mail Centre. Colleagues on site including Emma Gilthorpe, Chief Executive Officer came together to honour and remember the brave men and women who have served and sacrificed for our freedom.

‘It’s so important that we come together to take a moment to reflect on our heritage and the sacrifices made by those who came before us and our posties who have served through the decades’ said Emma Gilthorpe, CEO.

At 11am, no matter where you are – lets come together to honour all those who have served.

There is support available for our colleagues who have been and are a part of the Armed Forces community. Click here to learn about our employee resource group; MilNet.
