Community Christmas

It’s a We are Christmas Feel-good Friday

As we deliver Christmas to our customers, Southampton Mail Centre is extending the festivities to their local community by collecting toys for vulnerable children and young adults.

The Southampton team is often charitable and believe Christmas is an even more important time to do something for their community.

‘Royal Mail plays a crucial role in delivering cards and gifts which contributes to the joy and excitement of Christmas and its lovely being a part of that,’ said Kelly Roberts, Production Supply Manager.

‘The office has an increased festive atmosphere and heightened sense of community. Charity has always been important to our office. We are simply motivated by giving something back to less fortunate people.’

The team chose the Christmas toy appeal specifically as it aligns with the spirit of the Christmas by emphasising the importance of compassion, generosity, and collective efforts to make a positive impact on the lives of others.

The opportunity to give back to others is also a chance to bring the team together for a positive cause.

‘We’re hopeful that this type of event will promote team bonding and be our way of giving back to the community.’

The team are collecting from Southampton Mail Centre, Distribution and Collections but all colleagues can get involved by clicking here.

This is just one of many gleaming examples of teamwork at Royal Mail and we know there are lots of these amazing stories out there. Please share yours on Workplace or email your news to rmcommunications@royalmail.com.
