Week on Workplace
Takeover CEO Q&A
While CEO Simon Thompson takes a well-earned break, he leaves his weekly CEO Q&A in capable hands.
This week, North service delivery director, Jane Simpson, will be taking the floor (or should that be the screen?) to answer your questions.
Post your questions for Jane here on Workplace. She’ll respond to the five questions with the most likes.
As a Workplace exclusive you’ll need to activate your account to take part.

Pimp your virtual background – Royal Mail style
The thoughtful folk on the brand team have created two new virtual backgrounds – for all colleagues to use on their Teams video calls.
The backgrounds are available with both Royal Mail and Parcelforce styling.
Who will you be supporting in your virtual office?
Check out this Workplace post by Brand and planning manager, Jack Lingard, to access the link to browse all our brand approved backgrounds.
It’s all in the name of charity
Workplace is a great place to let colleagues know about your charity runs, bike rides, abseils – inform people you’re fund raising, set up your own group or use the groups already in place to let colleagues know how and why you’re raising charity cash, what your targets are and how you’re doing.
The charity head shave is definitely a Royal Mail favourite – check out the before and after pics on this post of Newry postie, Marty Harte, losing his locks in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support – and raising more than £800 in the process. Well done to Marty and everyone involved!
Bring My Label
We started our Bring My Label trial this week in four units – Bath, Cheltenham, Doncaster and Newton Mearns. You can read all about it on myroyalmail.com. Why not also head over to this post on Workplace to comment, ask any questions you have about the trial – or just see what other people are saying about it?
