‘Some of the memories I’ve had dealing with dangerous dogs will stay with me forever,’ says Dave Joyce

Press play to hear Dave Joyce, the CWU’s national health, safety and environment officer on Dog Awareness Week #daw21.

Joyce says: ‘Some of the memories I’ve had dealing with dangerous dogs will stay with me forever,’ as he advocates making clear the scale of the problem to the public and outlines his message to customers to:

  • Put the dog in another room before opening the door
  • Don’t let children open the door
  • Don’t let dogs roam free on the premises if you can – particularly when expecting the postie
  • Make sure you get your dog microchipped and that it is wearing a collar and tag.
