Early doors

We’re prepping for Peak – and asking colleagues to spread the word to friends and family about our Christmas vacancies

At Royal Mail, we know the value of planning. And we start prepping for Peak before most people have finished shaking the sand out of their summer sandals.

With post-pandemic volumes still up, we’re looking to recruit a bumper crop of Christmas flexible workers this year – and have already launched our drive to get friends and family of existing staff to apply.

If you know someone who would be interested – please ask them to get in touch. They can register their interest here.

Early applications for friends and family open on Friday 27 August and they’ll be contacted about their application throughout their journey.

A Facebook group has been set up to provide help and support and as a place to discuss applications. They can join up and find out more by clicking here

Each year, around 20% of our Christmas flexible workers are recruited via referrals from friends and family. In the age of social media, word of mouth is more important than ever, and it’s a great way for us to find trusted and reliable staff.

Royal Mail is a great place to work – especially at Christmas when the festive team spirit is at its height.

There is so much more to Royal Mail than being a postie – and friends and family will be able to apply for processing, delivery and driving roles.

Some flexible workers come for Christmas… and never leave. While it’s not a guaranteed route to a permanent post with the company, it is a great way for them to try out the job and see if it could be for them. So why not ask them to give Royal Mail a go this Christmas?
