Workplace wonders

A week on Workplace

Bank holiday or not – there’s always news at Royal Mail. And Workplace is just the spot for colleagues up and down the country to connect, collaborate and communicate.

Here’s what’s been happening on Workplace this past week.

Joint vision

We caught up with CWU’s Terry Pullinger to discuss our agreement and future plans. The CWU’s deputy general secretary (postal) chats culture, agreement and where the company’s future is heading.

WINNERS – The Special Recognition Award

This is the first year we’ve done The Special Recognition Award to the public vote on Workplace. The results are in and CEO Simon Thompson has announced the winner, including a prize of £10,000…. Find out who won here.

Show your pride

It’s Pride month, and although we might not yet be back to parades, rallies and parties – colleagues can embrace Workplace to throw their support behind the annual event that pays tribute to the LGBTQ community.

One to watch

Has anyone told RMtv they might have some competition? @Timothy Johnson and the team at Morley Delivery Office have set up the mic to do a special interview with recent visitor, Ricky McAulay. Follow the team here for inspiration on how you can utilise Workplace.

Icon of the business

John Charles from Haverfordwest DO & Fishguard SPDO has retired after nearly 53 years in the job. Fun fact: Man hadn’t landed on the moon when John started at Royal Mail.
