The Week on Workplace
Workplace is the perfect way to keep connected with colleagues – to share news and views - whether you’re working remotely, on the go or in the office.
Here are some of the highlights from the past seven days.
New Corporate Responsibility and Environment group
Launched today to coincide with the publication of our 2020-21 Corporate Responsibility report, check out the new Corporate Responsibility and Environment group on Workplace.
The group is official home of all things CR-related – from environment and sustainability to people and communities.
When it comes to making our world a cleaner, more environmentally-focused place to live, every little helps.
As a business, we have shown our commitment to the environment by announcing a ten-fold increase in our electric vehicles recently.
And our frontline staff are leading the charge into a green future on Workplace too – by setting up their own groups and swapping hints and tips on everything from ‘How to Go Green at Work’ to reusing elastic bands and making more ethical food choices.
Click here to check out and join the Green and Sustainable group, click here to join the Royal Mail Vegan and Veggie group, and keep an eye out for new groups popping up all the time. Or why not set up your own?
Our ‘Guiding Light’ film was posted on Workplace in time for Father’s Day, which took place last Sunday 20 June.
Check out the comments section under the video on Workplace to see what colleagues are saying – and leave a message for our very own rapping postwoman, Amira Rahmoune, who scripted and starred in the video (yes – Amira’s on Workplace!)
Special Recognition Award
CEO Simon Thompson made an early morning pit stop as part of his great northern tour last week – to present Barnsley Delivery Office with a big £10,000 cheque for winning this year’s annual Special Recognition Award. You can see a collage of pics taken at the presentation here.
In it to win it
We’re nearing the end of the month… which means it’s time to start posting and liking pics from your round under the hashtag #pictureperfect. The pics with the most likes go to a vote. And the winner will receive an iPad. Get snapping while you’re out and about then head over to Workplace – you’ve got to be in it to win it!
Frontline users, who haven’t got a Royal Mail email address, were sent a username and password for Workplace in their payslip w/c 22 March 2021 (weekly paid employees should also receive a reminder in payslips on 20 May 2021).
