Our Chief Executive, Moya Greene, has written to all employees in CWU-represented grades, as well as managers, in both Royal Mail and Parcelforce Worldwide.
We have offered a £300 lump sum in year one as part of our proposed agreement*. The £300 lump sum (pro-rata for part timers) would be payable in December 2013, as long as there is no industrial action.
Many of you said that it is unfair that people should lose this money if they work normally when others in their office go on strike.
We agree. So, this payment would be made, provided you have not taken action yourself.*This offer has been made as part of a proposed 3 year agreement with CWU. The proposed agreement and the pay offer within it will apply to employees in CWU represented grades in Core Operations, Logistics, Engineers, Fleet Maintenance Services, RMSS and Royal Mail International. The agreement is under discussion between us and CWU and is subject to contract. Parcelforce Worldwide pay discussions continue to run separately with the CWU. Separate negotiations will take place for other CWU grade employees within Royal Mail as per current arrangements.
