Week on Workplace

You’re welcome: here’s a rundown in case you’ve missed it

Workplace is like a box of chocolates. You never know what you’re going to get… Here’s what’s been happening across our most active communication network.

Lighting up the streets in Caerphilly
We’ve all heard of Postman Pat, but have you come across Postman Rhys? He’s been delivering mail in Caerphilly for the past 18 years, but in a new twist – he’s started delivering more to his thrilled customers with his talented singing voice.

Residents have been known to rush to their windows waiting for Rhys to burst into song. His singing has become such a hit he’s gone viral on Tik Tok. Meet Rhys here.

Want to boost your network?
Royal Mail has partnered with EveryWoman to invest in an online self-development platform that is available to all Royal Mail employees. Joining up is entirely free – regardless of gender. For more, join up to our National Women’s Steering Group here.

It’s beginning to feel a lot like….
Christmas is edging closer! Which means one thing at Royal Mail – friends and family Christmas vacancies are open. They have until 27 August to submit their details before registration opens up externally. If you know someone who fits the bill, please direct them here.

Peer to peer
It can always be helpful to refresh on things you might deem as old hand. If you haven’t watched it, make sure you take a leaf out of David Carlyon’s book. The Altrincham postman provides his tips on driving safely with the help of Drive 360. Click here for more.

Not sure where to start? Why not make a beeline for Team Royal Mail - a place to post your pictures, videos and words promoting your teams, colleagues and the great work being achieved across the business.
