Looking back at a partnership that has changed the lives of thousands of young people

We are incredibly proud to announce that we have reached our ambitious £2 million target for our charity partner, Action for Children. This is an outstanding group effort from all Royal Mail and Parcelforce colleagues, and a true testament to your dedication, generosity, and community spirit.

How it all began…

Our partnership with Action for Children began in 2017, when colleagues voted to support better mental health for younger people by fundraising for the Blues programme. Mental health problems in children and teenagers was a growing national concern that we wanted to tackle. The Blues programme, which provides specialist early intervention support to young people aged 13-19, was the first preventative mental health programme of its kind in the UK.

Your inspiring efforts – from running marathons, sleeping out and climbing mountains to baking, raffles and auctions - have allowed us to deliver better youth mental health to 5,253 young people in 149 schools across the UK. Let’s not forget the hours of volunteer support at Action for Children services and events, as well as donating specialist pro bono assistance and technical expertise.

Over the next few weeks we will be celebrating some of our partnership highlights and how you’ve helped change the lives of thousands of young people.
