As the gold medal tally rises we continue to make the headlines. We featured in over 45 broadcasts, including ITV news, Daybreak and a large selection of regional BBC and ITV television and radio stations. The highlight was ITV London’s exclusive coverage of our Gold Post Box celebrating the success of the Games in Stratford.
Paralympians are extremely proud and honoured to have a gold medal stamp and post box painted in their name. World record breaking discus thrower, Josie Pearson told The Sun “I can’t wait to see my gold post box and stamp.” Gold post boxes across the country have been generating press coverage, as the regional press in Cornwall, Halifax, Nottingham, Sutton and Berkshire celebrate their local heroes.
Twitter is still buzzing about our gold medal stamps and gold post boxes. BBC Somerset retweeted about Deb Criddle’s post box to their 6,500 followers and Danielle Brown’s gold post box was retweeted by BBC2012 to 92,000 people.
