We have reached our tenth Olympic Games gold medal and will produce a stamp in 24 hours to honour Katherine Copeland and Sophie Hosking’s triumph in the Women’s Rowing Lightweight Double Sculls final.
The stamp will be on sale by lunchtime tomorrow in over 500 Post Offices across the UK. Many of these branches are opening on Sundays for the first time during the Games, so fans can celebrate Team GB’s achievements and start a unique and special London 2012 souvenir collection.
The stamp will be available at a Post Office in Katherine’s home town of Stockton-on-Tees and Sophie’s home town of Wimbledon. Royal Mail will also paint a post box gold in the athletes’ home towns to celebrate their win.
