We’re starting our preparations early by recruiting extra people
Xmas recruitment

This year we will be recruiting around 18,000 people to help us sort and deliver the Christmas mailbag of around two billion items.

We know from previous years that many of you have friends and family who are looking for work opportunities, and we hope you will pass the message to them about the chance to work for us this year.

Applications will be accepted from 5 September. Positions across shifts and attendance patterns will be available between early November and mid January.

The peak of the additional temporary work will obviously be in December. These positions will support our postmen and women who sort and deliver the mail all year round.

What we’re looking for

Hard-working people to work mainly in processing roles at mail centres, mail preparation units and packet sorting centres.

No previous mail industry experience is necessary as training is provided.

We will recruit all employees directly and pay them via the Royal Mail payroll system.

We are an equal opportunities employer and welcome all applications. Apply now
